In the spirit of the season and guided by the words from the Gospel of Matthew, the St. Margaret Mary Church Catholic Women’s League (CWL) has once again orchestrated its heartwarming "Twinkle Toes Campaign" to bring joy and comfort to those in need in our community.

This annual campaign involves the collection of a variety of toiletries, which are then thoughtfully placed in Christmas socks for men and women experiencing homelessness and poverty. What makes this initiative even more special is the collaboration with our own beloved schools—St. Margaret Mary, St. Anthony Daniel, St. Kateri Tekakwitha, and Sacred Heart of Jesus School Catholic Elementary Schools.

This year, the young "Confirmandi" from these schools took the reins, displaying enthusiasm and dedication throughout the entire month-long Twinkle Toes Campaign. The students went above and beyond, tirelessly soliciting and collecting a carload of toiletry donations from the generous community.

On a spirited Saturday afternoon, these students transformed into Santa’s little helpers, coming together to stuff socks with care and compassion. The event not only contributed to a mountain of gift-filled socks but also provided an opportunity for students to accumulate valuable volunteer hours while sharing laughter, friendship, and the true spirit of Christmas.

The heartwarming scenes of students working hand in hand for a common cause were a testament to the teachings of their confirmation lessons. One student from St. Kateri School expressed, “Working so fast, we didn’t even realize how quickly clean up time came.” Another from St. Anthony Daniel School reflected, “It was over! Did we even notice the Holy Spirit among us? Working together, giving of ourselves to give a little comfort to others.”

A student from St. Margaret Mary School shared a profound insight, stating, “Not just socks were being filled but our hearts as well. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for the beautiful feelings that you gave us as we volunteered for Twinkle Toes this Saturday afternoon.”

The St. Margaret Mary CWL extends heartfelt gratitude to the confirmandi for their exceptional dedication and participation in the Twinkle Toes Campaign, making it a resounding success. In closing, the community blesses the confirmandi with strength as they continue to live out their Catholic faith.

As we approach the festive season, let these young souls be a shining example of the power of love, generosity, and the true meaning of Christmas. Their actions have undoubtedly warmed not just bodies but hearts as well, embodying the spirit of giving that defines this special time of year.

"We are Called to Love"—a mantra echoed through the deeds of these little helpers, a reminder of the profound impact that love and compassion can have in our community.

"Remember, then, that you received a spiritual seal, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, the spirit of holy fear. Keep safe what you received. God the Father sealed you; Christ the Lord strengthened you and sent the Spirit into your hearts as the pledge of what is to come." —St. Ambrose
