The mission of Catholic education in Hamilton-Wentworth, in union with our Bishop, is to enable all learners to realize the fullness of humanity of which Our Lord Jesus Christ is the model. The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board Student Trustees acknowledged that our schools live out this mission. From the unique student perspective, the Student Trustees and student council presidents witnessed countless examples of living and acting in the Spirit of the Risen Christ every day in our Catholic schools.
Presented at the May 7th Committee of the Whole meeting, "The Spirit of the Risen Christ: Student Trustees Report" from the HWCDSB Student Presidents’ Council highlighted the vibrant faith community within our schools. Inspired by the Pastoral Letter from the Catholic Bishops of Canada and Blessed Carlo Acutis, the report celebrated how our students and staff live out their faith daily through acts of kindness, compassion, and community service.
