During the week of May 5-10, 2024, the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board will celebrate the significant contribution that Catholic Education has made to the community, to the province, and to Canada.
The theme for this year’s Catholic Education Week is “Catholic Education: We are Called to Love.” The overall scriptural theme is taken from St. John’s Gospel: “If we love one another, God lives in us” (1 John 4:12).
The five sub-themes, one for each day of Catholic Education Week, are as follows:

• Wednesday: As people of mercy …
• Thursday: As people of justice …
• Friday: As people of joy …
Catholic Education Week is marked by special activities at the school and system level, including prayer celebrations and service activities.
