St. Luke Catholic Elementary School is expanding young minds' horizons by sowing the seeds for future careers, exposing students to a range of professions within their community.

The school recently hosted its sixth Career Day on May 10, enlightening students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 about various career paths.

Twenty guest speakers from the community shared insights into their professions, associated career options, educational journeys, and valuable life lessons. Presentations emphasized the importance of diligence, ethical conduct, and integrity in the workplace.

In the afternoon session, intermediate students became presenters, showcasing their research projects on selected careers. Meanwhile, younger students explored these exhibits in the gymnasium, learning about job roles, potential earnings, required skills, and motivations behind career choices.

St. Luke's Career Day aims to introduce students to diverse career possibilities, sparking interest in new and unfamiliar fields. It encourages students to contemplate their future paths and understand the realities of achieving their goals.

Thanks are extended to the diverse array of presenters, including Vocations Directors, healthcare professionals, scientists, law enforcement officers, security personnel, journalists, firefighters, musicians, real estate agents, funeral directors, entrepreneurs, mechanics, engineers, actuaries, and culinary specialists.
