Seminarian Davidson with class

On April 4th, the grade four students at Our Lady of Hope School had the pleasure of a wonderful visit from Kyle Davidson who is planning on starting his journey as a Seminarian in September.

The grade four students who had been praying for Kyle’s vocational journey were excited to finally meet him! Kyle explained that he was currently working at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, whereupon he is assisting with the technologic aspects of streaming the masses. In addition, Kyle shared that he often volunteered with the De Mazenod Door Outreach program, whereupon he often helped give food to those in need. In fact, Kyle said about 500 meals are served each day. Kyle explained that he enjoyed the opportunity to “feed others” similarly to how Jesus lived. By feeding those in need, Kyle explained that he was helping to “give people their human dignity.” Kyle shared that he also enjoys going into the community and praying with those struggling with addiction and illness. He explained to the students that this was one of the highlights of his day.

When Kyle was asked who or what inspired him along his faith journey, he relayed that meeting Father Andrew at St. Eugene’s church was enlightening. Kyle remembers meeting Father Andrew at the Christmas Mass, and it was then that he realized that he wanted to foster his connection with Christ. All in all, we learned that Kyle’s faith in the Lord is very strong, and that he is extremely excited to start his Seminarian journey. Ms. Fernandez’s grade four class will continue to pray for Kyle Davidson as he begins his seminarian journey in September.
