Weekday booking/ permit: If you are cancelling a weekday booking or permit, please notify the CUS Supervisor through the permit it applies to and provide at least 5 working days’ advance notice. Permits or bookings cancelled with less than 5 days’ notice will not be refunded.
Weekend booking/ permit: If you are cancelling a booking or permit that was to occur on a weekend and custodial coverage was arranged to allow you access to the facility, please provide 7 days advance notice of cancellation to our CUS rental office through the permit . No refund will be afforded to the permitholder for custodial costs or booking costs with less that 7 days notice.

Cancellation of Purchased Insurance
If your event/ permit is cancelled with sufficient notice ( similar to notice provided when cancelling a booking/ permit ) and prior to the first booking, a full refund will be granted for purchased insurance
If your event is cancelled after the start of your first booking, no refund will be granted for purchased insurance
No Shows – Even though staff are working in schools on weeknights, the Board appreciates knowing when you might not utilize a booking even if you cannot provide the above notice for a refund. The HWCDSB tries to communicate those absences or occasions of non-use to custodial staff so that they may go about other duties as assigned to keep our schools clean. If a group continually does not show up for approved bookings, and fails to notify the Board, the Board reserves the right to cancel your permit to afford that availability to other community groups.
